downpipe flexible is dead.....new downpipe

Hi

i'm new here (hi to everyone)

nearly 1 week from now my 2000 maxima GLE start to make a little deep sound....ok so i got a exhaust leak

i check under the car and the flexible after downpipe negin to fall (mesh begin to fall)

so i check over ebay and everything and dont want to put 1000$ on this car (only need this car to hold up tu 12-16 month max...lol
it'S great car with only 105k (65miles)) so i can put the effort of repairing it

i see a lot of cheap y pipe WITH headers , but have any one of you bought this but only install the downpipe (it'S winter here in canada i dont want to change headers in snow outside....just want the car to stop making sound!!!
I think that maybe the cheap y pipe from eBay can only be install with the headers (not OEM) iM i right?

or i just maybe better buy warpspeed downpipe? or other solution to check over?

it's a 2000 canadien 3.0 VQ30de i dont have the weird precat

WTF...i can'T upload any picture with URL....i'm in many forum and have no problem to post picture normally.....Something i must do wrong

You should be able to get a new flexpipe for cheap at any muffler place. No need to replace the Y pipe unless you want too. I'm not sure of your exhaust diameter but you can order a flexpipe from Summit Racing http://www.summitracing.com/search/p...ibanner=SREPD1
or any exhaust place will have a replacement.

With all the heat sheild around flex pipe it look difficult to weld or clamp anything.....i'll check with my local mechanical shop

my exhaust rusted and separated at the flex pipe a couple years ago when I was trying to fix the separation right in front of the muffler. A local muffler shop welded everything up for $100. I would check around at some local shops unless you really just want to get a new y pipe.

Just rip/cut it off. Our heat shields are useless unless you like rattles.
