Mpg

I just want toknow what other people get mpg wise in their car, i drive a 6 sp 02 maxima and fill it with premium, i get around 14mpg mostly city. Want to know if that is good or not since mpg specs seem to vary on this car.

That seems absurdly low... especially for a six speed. You should be getting at least 18 city, if not 19 or 20 city.

I get 22 mpg on average driving mostly city with just a few minutes of highway on my 25 minute commute. It drops to 21 mpg if I go through the city with all of the red lights. 14 mpg is just wrong. Even my wife's turbo Subaru gets 17 mpg city and that's only if she gets into the turbo a lot.

Well was thinkingnits time for spark plugs change but i dont know what else could be causing bad mpg... The car does have a stillen intake filter which is really just taking in alot of hot air but i dont know if those things could cause that bad of an mpg

yea I've always thought mine didn't good gas mileage but dang, 14 mpg? Might want to check your air filter and a tune up if you haven't done one in a while.

I have a 00 auto, new plugs, air filter and 93 oct gas. I get 14-18 city on average. But I do have a VERY heavy foot so that might have to do with why I get terrible gas mileage. In my 02 I average 22 mpg. You might want to check spark plugs and do a normal tune up.
