New regulator cannot close the window.

2000 Max. Bought new regulator from APW, always had great service, fitted it, powered window up and it jams five inches from the top. Motor overload then lowers it. APW changed it, no problem, fitted it and observed the window angle relative to the door is weird. the leading (Forward) edge of the glass is trying to go outside of the door!!!

APW sent me another one from a different manufacturer...same problem.

Checked the vehicle data plate and the build date was 08-99 even though it's title states 2000.

Can anyone tell me if the 99 regulator is different?

The doors on the 1999 model car and the 2000 model car are shaped differently. Because the doors are shaped differently, the things that go inside them, such as the window glass, the regulator, etc. will also have to be different.

Your car is a 2000. You need to be using parts for a 2000. The fact that your car was assembled in 1999 does not mean that you should use parts for a 1999. You always go by what year model was sold as.
