Cranks but won't start
Hey guys it has been a long while since I have been here but having some real problems. My 2010 murano just lost the transmission so I am down to my 2003 maxima as a family car.
2003 maxima AT 195k miles. Car cranks but will not start. It has had code p0445 (EVAP leak) for a while and the starts having been taking longer and longer. Today it finally failed to start and is showing the EVAP code along with p1800.
Is there a common solution that causes a no start before I start any diagnostics?
Thanks for any help

Try unplugging the crank sensor and see if it will start.

So I put gas in the car and it started. Idk what made me add has since the meter says I have almost 1/4 tank. But at least it started
Edit: I filled the tank and it reads under 7/8 full

not for nothing but mabye you should run an additive in the tank to possibly free the little unit that reads gas level. i read somewhere on here they can stick easily, or otherwise replace the pump. i only trust seafoam as my snake oil of choice. it has shown decent results when ive used it in the past.

Idk if I will even get a new cluster given the value of the car.

Ouch, it's always electrical with these newer cars. Anyway, if you have access to the wires, you could jury rig a voltmeter into the gas gauge lines and read resistance as you fill up. Record resistance when you fill up and when you start bucking from low gas( don't attempt without a spare gallon of gas on hand) I saw it on this video called No ***** given rx7.
