I noticed a noise which sounds like the timing chain rattling around yesterday. This morning i inspected the motor and saw it was coming from the pulley right over the waterpump. The circle metal thing right behind the bolt was loose so i tightned it, drove off, everything good. Just got back home, the bolt loosened again and the metal circle thing was rattling as the belt turned making a horrible noise! What do i do?

For one, there's no way you properly tightened it or it's stripped.
The idler may be bad. If you take it off and can hear any noised when spinning, encounter too much resistance or it wobbles at all, then it's bad (or grease coming out of the sides).

I would just replace it due to the age and make sure there's nothing wrong with the bolt/nut, then crank it down pretty good.

Take a look at the crank pulley and make sure it's not wobbling while you're at it.

I believe you are 100 percent correct, i didnt tighten it much at all! I stripped the hell out of the bolt, so im gonna buy a new bolt and a ratching wrench and tighten the hell out of it! What size is the bolt? I forget.

It's not a regular bolt or did you mean nut? I found this thread https://maxima.org/forums/4th-genera...-assembly.html
It has the info in it! "The washer and nut that sit at the end of the bolt are M10x1.25"

I grabbed an assembly from the junkyard

Wait hold up, thats not it! Its like a nut i believe, and it screws onto the stem of the idler puller. It screws right over that metal circle thing.
