Front Brake Slider Pin
Front Brake Slider Pin
Hi gents. One of our front brake slider pins has a rubber portion, which I assume is for the caliper to swing up and down when servicing brakes.
Is it essential to have this rubber piece intact, or can I remove it and then just paint more brake lube on the slider to take up the space?
Mine isn't wanting to go into the bore smoothly, as though the rubber is adding a layer of drag even though it's clean and greased.
Thx for any insights. This is the pin that likes to seize too.
