Phillips VisionPlus sucked in the rain!
Phillips VisionPlus sucked in the rain!
Another review I posted a while back, I love them when it’s dry. But when it rained, they became a liability in my opinion. I almost hit a median because I couldn’t see it at about 2 feet! I’m considering taking these out now. Horrible visibility.

The blue coating on the lights makes it hard to see in the rain, thats why you put yellow bulbs in the fogs for bad weather
Human Factors problem: Blue light has the highest refraction of the visable spectrum. Any glossy surface amplifies this effect (ie. Wet Roads)providing us with poop for visability. Yellow has the longest wavelength and therefore the least amount of refraction in the visable spectrum giving us the best visability. This is the reasoning for France's regulations for cars to have Yellow headlights.
Wow......I sound like a dork.....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but VisionPlus bulbs are clear, right? It's the BlueVisions that are slightly coated (most of them, I don't want to get into that debate again
). Check the aiming of your lights, if they're aimed too high too much of the light might be reflected in the rain.

nokyas
I have said before..i love the way the Nokya bulbs look, the only downside is wet weather visibility, i am in the process of looking for some good yellow bulbs for the fogs though (PIAA???)...so i will solve the visibility problem somewhat.
I have had the Vision Plus's for about 6 weeks now and just spent 3-4 days driving in pouring rain - I agree, the VP does lack a little in the rain. I had the cool blue's in my 4th gen and they were the same way. I think I'm gonna leave the VP's in because they are truly awesome when it's dry. I put the All-Weather H-3's in my wifes 2k1 Pathfinder and they work very well, I might order a set for the Max's fogs.
