2002 Rough spuddery acceleration when WOT...

Okay I know this has been covered intensely in the forums but I figured i'd give it a shot in hopes maybe my issue might be different.

2002 AUTO with new plugs, A "new coil" as per maintenance records, no leaks runs perfect EXCEPT for when I step on the gas WOT from a stop or on the interstate doing 75mph, when I do it from a stop it will spudder and choke, almost like a MT slipping in a gear or something, but I don't believe it's a trans problem because when i'm not gunning it everything seems normal, has decent power and pull, but when I get the peddle all the way to the floor or depress it too quickly it will choke out like it's running out of gas or something, it's very hard to explain other than "spuddering"

SO I figured it's probably MAF, I've been reading about similar symptoms on the forums and everyone is saying MAF MAF MAF or coils, I tried cleaning with CRC and followed the write up on how to do that, no Buenos still have same iussues...

oh and NO codes being thrown btw, idle is great and as long as I am not getting on the throttle hard it drives perfect. it's ONLY when I give it FULL throttle, or go from no throttle to half to 3/4 to fast...

I just wanted to hear if there's anything else that it could be before I dump 40-100 on a new maf..is there a way to test to see if it's the coils, or test to see if a coil is bad? (okay i will check to see if there's a write up on coil ohm testing or something). I also read it might could be an o2 sensor, which I havnent checked yet, it's been a few years since I've owned a max and I just got her yesterday so i'm taking one thing at a time...

Test with junkyard maf, it sure sounds like something maf would do. O2 sensor is irrelevant when WOT and higher RPMs.

That and I'm going to test to see if I have any clogs in exhaust, been reading other people's similar issues, I don't want to spend a small fortune replacing parts that work just fine, thanks for the reply

Just an update, I feel like a retard..

checked the rubber hose coupling between the TB and maf, it was ripped and cracked, I could stick my finger in it... Just to test threw some magical duct tape on it and poof it fixed the problem. Amazing how looking with a flash light makes a difference.

I noticed it sounded like I had a cone filler, really throaty, and this is my first 5th gen (had all 4s previously) but I figured something was up, fixed today and problem was cured

But thanks again for input, this site has been awesome for me for years.
