Resetting the ECU on a 2K2 Maxima
Alrighty... I have searched and found a couple posts that seem to indicate that just leaving the battery cable off overnight won't actualy reset the ECU on a 2002 Max. (Note that this would be new for 2002)
Anyway.. I recently had occasion to have my seats and carpet out (don't ask... new to the whole moon roof thing... big storm... really embarrassing) and now the Air Bag Light is flashing at me.
Is there a way, besides going to the dealer and besides using a scan tool, that I can get this to reset?
Thanks

Yeah... but in this case the only reason it's going off is because, when they took out the seats, they had to disconnect the sensor. There's no malfunction, the thing just blinks whenever it gets disconnected.
In the 4th Gen max, there was a way to reset only the Airbag Sensor... dome light button on/off thingy... maybe there's a way to do that in the 2K2?
