Hello everyone.

Is anyone aware if the there is an option to upgrade the valve covers on the vq35de engines to aluminum? I have done some research and it looks like the covers out of some QX4 2000-2001 engines might work? Has anyone attempted to do such a swap? I need to replace the valve cover gaskets on my 07 Murano and was hoping that there was an option to swap to a better valve cover aka non plastic.

I've never heard of any that were compatible but I don't know if anyone has tried.

The easiest starting place would be to compare the gaskets and see if they're the same.

From what I understand the 04+ valve covers are alright. I've been running one for years on the rear bank of my 02. As long as you don't over torque them you should be fine.
