I seen really cheap pod air filter on eBay there's a brand called track racing does those pod filter give any hp on Maxima vq30dek? I really can't afford a pop charger from jwt should I just get a k&n drop in filter or a afe filter? Does those make any hp on a maxima 2000

No noticeable gains are to be had with any of the filters you've mentioned.

Wrong forum too. This topic doesn't fall under Advanced Performance by a long shot.

Actually, air filters never realy give hp gains... it is more like a supportive mod. I.e an air intake that would allow more air in the engine, combined with a less restrictive exhaust (without loosing too much velocity) would allow the engine to breath better and take more fuel!

At that point, yes a good air filter would be great, if not... its only for that sweet sound you get when you "pop the p-flow" ^^

Unless you go with serious forced air induction (not a god damn electric crap) you Will not get any noticable hp!

As i told you before, a simple pod filter is nothing more than just the right brap brap!

Hey guys why don't you just do a really black and white test
Hook a vacuum gauge to the manifold and do a back to back test.

Will this riced out cone filter do anything for my stock maxima?
Just link them to that thread and say NO/YES.

I did that with my bmw. Stock filter vs cone vs nothing at all. Nothing changed.
The throttle body was slightly. sliiiiggghhtly restrictive nothing anyone could perceive like 0.2kpa.

Do it. See if your riced out swiss cheese airbox or spectre riceboy filter unleashes the beast.
