Can any one tell me what sensor this is i have a 2000 nidsan maxima<br/>

This is like that picture game where you get a small piece and have to guess the whole picture. Haha. I love this. I see what looks like a radiator hose. It seems to be coming off your outlet pipe. I'm going to guess coolant temperature sensor.

With more information or a picture to put a location on it, I think you could get a definitive answer.

That is not the engine coolant temperature sensor (ECTS). It is the sensor that runs the temperature gauge in the instrument cluster.

The engine coolant temperature sensor has 2 wires going to it and is located about an inch behind the gauge sensor.
