HID Ballast or something else?

Hi,

The passenger HID will be fine, and then will go out for a day or two, and then come back on again. Switched over the driver lamp, so it's not the lamp.

Do you think it is the ballast? If it was the ballast, wouldn't the lamp not come on at all? Maybe a short in the wiring somewhere?

How can something like that be checked/fixed?

Thanks so much for your insight!

Could be the ballast or igniter. Swap components to check.

I had the same problem. I could turn the light switch off-on-off-on and sometimes it would come back on. It turned out to be the ignitor (small box that the headlight pigtail is attached to).
