17" Winter Tire Suggestion?

17" Winter Tire Suggestion?
Looking for some recommendations of a set of winter tires for my 2K2 GLE. I need some serious winter tires, as I'm in Upstate, NY, where we get a lot of snow and ice. Tirerack has the Dunlop Winter Sports or Pirelli Winter Snow Sports .... have heard good things about the Blizzaks, but looking for some real world opinions on what others have actually used on their Maximas (other running the Pilots A/S full time). If it matters, I have the traction control option.
Thanks much!

You could probably get a full set of 15" with steel rims for cheaper than what you'd pay for a set of 17" snows. Just a guess.

i have the dunlop winter sport 16" tires and i think they work quite well, but i have never used any other high end winter tires so i have nothing to compare them too. i live in north dakota so we have lots of snow and ice and these tires work a hell of a lot better than the stock tires.

I have the Blizzak LM-22s in 16" on my 2001 GLE - I am Northwest PA so we have seen some snow this year. So far they have performed fairly well - I used to run Blizzak WS-15s on my Honda Accord in years past. The LM-22s are H-rated and seem to wear a little better and handle better on dry roads than the WS-15s.
