yeah it will work with both stock and you will notice an increase in noise not disturbing when driving normal but especially at WOT
for example in my car at WOT it sounds real aggressive enough to make people turn and look at whats going on and it sounds like a hissing underneath its not bad but just sounds mean

your just replacing the stock y pipe, and eliminating 1 (cali spec) or 2 (fed spec) precats.
The ypipe bolts up to the front manifold (or front precat for cali spec) and to the rear manifold and also directly to the cat.
3 connections plus the hanger (bolts on also)

I just did the install two days ago with Jason Reynolds and it was a B!tch. I mean a good one. You have to first remove the cat entirely to make it easier to pull out the ypipe later.
Then you need to remove three bolts on each end of the Ys. There are three way up near the firewall, will need a extension (10") and a swivel joint, and a 14mm DEEPsocket. Then remove the 3 bolts also on the other end of the Y that ends straight and meets up with the calispec manifold. Then you will need a 12mm socket to loose 5 bolts on the calispec manifold. You need to loosen this to be able to get the Ypipe out, YOU ONLY NEED TO LOOSEN the calispec manifold bolts. Not remove them.
This will take about 2hrs. Hopefully you got the car on ramps and what not, otherwise it is going to be a B!tch.
