Frankencar Intake

I just have few questions before I order frankencar intake for my 2k2 SE

1. does it require any drilling like other CAI?
2. does it come with any instructions on the installation? I know nothing about cars, but I kind of want to do it myself so I don't have to waste money on installation
3. does it really help the car run faster?
thx

steve is the boys name,,,, you will definately feel power gain. i don't think you will have to drill any holes, anyone who can use a wrench and a screwdriver, in my opinion, can install the intake,,,it is not rocket science. i am sure it comes with instructions...again do a search on franken

1. NO
2. Complete instructions.
3. According to their website and dyno, it gives a 10hp and 5lbs torque increase.

it's not a CAI, if you look at the pics on the website, it replaces thje stock tubing with a smooth tube and a k/f filter and puts it as far away as possible. i'm also gonna have a heatshield available soon.

hey steve,
sorry but i'm really don't know anything about cars (except how to drive fast ), what does headshield do? is it sort like the same theory as CAI? making the air coming in colder?

yes that's the theory i will also have a air vent to bring cooler air to the area eventually and it will bolt right onto the system i'm selling now.

Yeah, I like that color a lot better than the yellow. But now it doesn't match your calipers.

Well my picture was originally done on a 1600x1200 pic and then cut to size. You are working on a 400x200 picture.

But I have to do alot of cutting out and layering to make it seem almost real.
