Anyone tried LED in their Foglights?

I have been thinking for some time, about putting in LED bulbs in the Fog light but I have noticed online the LED bulbs are bigger or longer and would not fit in the fog light housing. Has anyone done it without issue with the back of the housing cap? I have put LED Bulb on my taillights, back up, license plate and side marker, without any issues. I'm ready to put in headlights and Fog lights but the Fog light seem to be an issue.

I did the headlights and fog lights. I do not remember which though. At least I can tell you it works. I think they were Cree brand

you can get a shorter style of bulb that wont bottom out on the lens. Ebay would be the best bet

good suggestion on the Cree, since the one I have seen online have fans, I know they wouldn't not fit into the fog light housing..

Yeah maybe the Cree were the headlights. I bought all the other bulbs for the car at once. Including the fogs. I was able to get every bulb. Even the change holder. The headlights are a bit loud but you can't hear them with the car running.

Amazon Amazon

I used this one, although not brighter than the halogen it replaces.
Perhaps if I play with it (take out the reflector housing or adjust i)
it willat least match the halogen.
I have another one on order which is 9600 lumens, and am going to see if that fits.
I'll kepp you updated .
Keep in mind Xenon kits are also avail, which will match the headlights on the Maxis with them.
That will probably be my last resort.

Did the license plate light bulbs plug straight in without any issue? I was thinking about slowly switching all mine out and right now the license plate lights are the ones burned out so I thought I would start there.

I have the same problem. I would love to find an H3 yellow led bulb that fits into the driving light housing, but EVERYTHING I have found is too long and hits the reflector when installed.

I really hope you guys do not do this.. Drop in LED bulbs do not have proper optics to be any brighter than the halogens they replace as far as actual output..

The license plate bulb came out with no issues and they work great. I'll take some photos of the bulb and the lighting output on them so you can judge for yourself.

+1 This !! ^^
little non important bulbs dont matter, but fog leds cant compete. I have led rear red side markers, led cabin and maps, ingition ring, courtesy lights, and interior trunk.

i kept license plate stock proudly.
