I want to buy a new Maxima. Due to money constraints, I can only afford the GXE although I kind of like the SE the best. Besides the obviuos cosmetic differences of the GXE and SE (the SE has the titanium gauges, spoiler, fog lamps, blacked out tail lights and the 17" wheel option), are their any other differences? I think the SE has a different suspension tuning right? Also, can you put fog lights and a spoiler on the GXE?

Any other differences? Maybe I should save up and get the SE?

Thanks guys...

Chris

I *think* the suspension differences are just different struts/shocks, or one of the two. Other than what you have listed, they are the same.

I think everything from an SE will fit on a GLE/GXE, vice-versa, and everything in-between.

Auto climate-control, side airbags, and heated seats *might not* be available on the GLE.

Chris the base model SE would run U about $22,500 with no C&C. that means no sunroof, no 17'rims, No CD, no Cargo Net. But U will have spoiler, Fogs, And the rest of the goodies. the base GXE is about $19,500. so its your call. Plus the SE holds its value better the GXE b/c of all the companies renting GXE, Kinda like a Camry, Buy it for 21K and in less then a year they are kicking around at 16-17K. U can pick up a 2K camry today USED for about $16-17K. and just looked at the dealer sunday, Brandnew Camry LE is about 21,200. Boy I'm glad the Maxima doesn't drop that fast in price. U can pickup a USED 2K GXE HOTOMATIC for about $17,500-$18,000..

Got my GXE for 18,900 w/ the factory wing.

The only differences between the SE and the GXE are the cosmetic options and the sport suspension. The only option that came with my GXE was the wing.

I think with couple of mods, it will surpass the perfomance of any stock SE.

Yeah but if I'm correct if u got the 5spd Max Gxe u don't have CD plyr, auto climate control, and some other details but yeah your right it may be faster than an SE 5spd due to the weight. I'll still race your assssssssssssssssssssss.
