What Is This Part?

Worked on the car (2001) and found this laying under it afterward. I don't know where this little elbow came from.

This is the rubber sleeve that terminates the AT Breathing Valve/Pipe. It's right next to the AT dipstick.

When you were working on the car, did you disconnect any hoses? That looks like a reinforcing elbow that is put on hoses when it rubs against something.

I switched the air filter and installed the EDFC motors Tein coilovers.

put a penny next to it then i can tell for sure. That looks like the size of a quarter to me. The turn signals have those hoses

I know the HIDs have a vent hose like that, but it makes a full U-shape, and you don’t have HIDs.

I do have hids in the garage. I'll make sure it's not missing a vent hose just in case.

You removed the stock air box, and the insulator for the breather hose slipped off. Example image..




If so, its a indication it may be time to replace..
