Alternator alternatives

Alternator alternatives
Hi Maxima owners!
I actually drive a 2k i30t, but the drivetrain and engine stuff is (mostly) the same as a Maxima. I plan to add even more audio gear to my ride and have been looking for a higher output alternator, and have been mostly unsuccessful. There are options for the i35 / Maxima 3.5 liter cars though. What I am hoping is that those alternators can bolt in or be added with only slight modification.
Have any of you found success adding HO alternators to your cars?

I have had success adding an extra battery instead. Unless your rocking 5k watts for minutes straight you don't need a ho alt. My first max I competed in SPL hitting 150db+ with the stock alt. I had that car for 250k + and only replaced the alt once. Batteries with good and proper wiring is all you need.

I have an extra battery (a smallish one), did the 'big 3' and have OFC cabling throughout...1500 watts at the moment. No issues and I run at 13.9v regularly. I am aiming to add another 2k watt RMS amp though, and want to make sure I don't encounter issues.
150db is big numbers for a sedan. Nice one man!
