2003 Maxima empty plug on engine not connected
Hello
I tried to up load Pictures but they don't come up.
I had just bought this 2003 Maxima for $800 at a police auction everything seems to work fine and it was a job to clean up.
When i looked on the engine their is a plug in connector thats not connected. Is it for some type of Diag; tool Also their is a slip if you take off to fast but if you go normal its their but not that loud slip knock. Also i had to add 2 qt of Oil when i drove it home.It had a Diag test done in 5/17/17 and it stated that the SLP And ECS Off lights were on what are those for.
They also mention that the Ti-Rods both Inner and outer need replacement looks easy enough to do.
Below are the URL's for the Plug maybe that will come up Figured it out had to upload as an attachment Thanks Austin
Also do you think that a good deal for $800.

No. The brown plug is for your electronically-controlled engine mounts. The previous owner disconnected them to avoid ECU damage. This is a good thing - my document about ECU damage prevention explains (see the last link in my signature).
Not sure what you are trying to say. However, as a new owner of a car with unknown past, you should replace all your fluids. Re. your AT/ATF, do the triple drain-and-flush; it will help, and it may even fix, your slip problem.

Hi OK
I 'm new & Ignorant on this car so i was wondering what the PRECATS are look it up i guess it is a program code.I Guess i need to get rid of this car or learn it.I learn CNC Coding to prototype machining for my lathe and Mill. But sold them but i had friends that knew it.
How are those programs for android that you can buy for these cars to analyze them Or would a program for a laptop be better. I really like the car like my Datsun 240Z 1972 but that had to go.I tore down the Transmission in that when 2nd gear shear pin sheared and fixed it but that was 30 years ago and i could do that work.
It's a big difference from a 240 to the Maxima either get with it or don't try i guess Thanks Austin

Very welcome that's why I do with my tablet laptop. Just the cars. Get those cats off, gutted, or replaced. On the automatic I have since I wasn't shooting for performance I did cheap ebay headers, ypipe, and bought stainless steel o2 bungs. Have yet to install the bungs. You got the vq35 which is pricier than my vq30deksbut more powerful, popular, and missing the the quirks mine have. You will do yourself a favor an keep those engine mounts unplugged though even when the time comes for new ones don't hook them back up...

Also when you aquire datascan ii be sure and advance your timing 2°. It is well recommended and research these cars a lot. Apparently the only reason Nissan sent them down from 17° to 15° was so regular gas would work in them. Thing is these cars hate regular gas anyways. Don't put regular in after you advance timing though. Do not. Lol good luck with the car it's nice. $800 is a steal

I don't remember what all features are left out on the android version but you can can program keys, clear self learn, perform idle volume relearn, advance timing 2° as everyone advises, diagnostics, view, and record live data. Even has a wide band o2 program it can double as for you...

Yeah those maroon colored plugs are fine capped off.
So you know the 12V's comes direct from the battery bypassing the ENG cont relay switch so the voltage is constant even after shutting the car off.
The motor mounts are cheap and fail creating a buzz noise after you shut the car off when theyre connected.
