How do I strengthen my automatic transmission? I've blown 3

How do I strengthen my transmission it's a 2002 automatic? If I have a 120 wet shot, all the bolt ons, upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump Apexi tuner... Was dynoed at 427 HP... This is the fourth tranny!!!!

You need a shift kit or vb mod or valve body upgrade. It will make the transmission shift hard and fast so your clutch packs don't wear out. Then just synthetic fluid and big cooler. If that is not enough then you can take the trans apart and replace the clutch packs with performance clutch packs also. https://maxima.org/forums/5th-genera...-body-mod.html

This is a cheap quick way of trying out higher trans pressure. Disconnect the drop resistor. It's under the hood by the drivers side strut tower.

All the time and money you've poured into it, could have just gotten a used Corvette for a hobby car.

Everybody and their mom either has an ls1 based car or swap, There isnt a more heart breaking feeling then getting trashed by a sedan.

I have this IPT transmission w/the modded VB & IPT modded solenoids. Shifts hard & fast like the guy above said. Had the rebuild kit used with a junkyard transmission. Using stock torque converter. http://www.importperformancetrans.co...rts.-54-1.html
