Transmission Rebuild :(

03 Maxima has a 2-3 slip and new fluid/additives seem to be helping.
Whats the going rate for a rebuild these days?

Between $2K and $2.5K. Best way to find out is to cal a couple of repair places. I personally have ****-poor work done by AAMCO.

Depending on your location and/or willingness to ship, there is Level10 in Hamburg, New Jersey.

http://www.levelten.com/

I can personally attest to their quality.

IPT (import performance trans) in NJ also has a full transmission setup for $2700 or a rebuild kit for 500. It's supposedly very strong, and the shifts are beastly. Get the rebuild kit & have a local shop do it for you. http://www.importperformancetrans.co...sion-4435.html
