Grinding Noise From Air Compressor

Make a long story short here i got a bad grinding noise from Compressor.
recently I noticed black carbon build up under the front valve cover as the exhaust is plugged up and pushing out from the EM manifold gasket but its a new gasket and a new pre-cat.
i had a melt down before the new catalytic converter but the old one didnt seem plugged up.
I do think my muffler has internally collapsed though and also the floor cat is bad. It was aftermarket from 8 years ago. This system Im rebuilding within the next year but
there is no precat code but i hear the floor cat making a sputtering noise when reving rpm's.

my question is since the compressor has turned black could the bearings be smoking causing the black build up by the EM manifold?
could the compeessor blow up if it gets too hot? Its really whining if I dont engage the clutch. But AC is nice and cool.
