Question about Motor Mounts for 02-03 Maxima

Hey guys, I'm trying to confirm the difference between Auto and Manual motor mounts for the 5.5

I know that there are 4 motor mounts for our cars. However, I'm trying to find out which mounts are specific to manual and auto trans.

If i'm not mistaken, the Front and Rear mounts are specific to auto/manual, but the Left and Right are the same whether it's auto/manual correct?

Can someone help me out and confirm if I'm correct?

The lower two are specific. The diameter of the bushing is different. The entire mount may swap though. I think it will. The factory mount has powered vibration control on the auto but you can buy an aftermarket one without it.

I know the mount over the drive belts is different on the 6-MT car and wont swap.

Not sure off hand about the swap under the air box side.

What are you trying to do?

I would like to expand upon what Derrick2k2SE said.

3 of the 4 engine mounts are different between the manual and automatic transmission cars.

The only one that is the same is the front mount on the passenger side of the car.

The mount that attaches to the transmission on the drivers side is a different shape and size and cannot be bolted in place.

The 2 mounts on the sides of the engine, the firewall side and the radiator side, are different in what and how they are made but are the same size and shape. The mounts used for a manual trans car are solid rubber. The mounts for the auto trans car are oil filled. The the ECU will pump more oil into them to make them firmer at driving speed and pump oil out at idle speed to make them softer and reduce engine vibration. These mounts can and do leak oil and/or the electric motor for the built in oil pump shorts out and usually damages the ECU. You can use manual trans mounts on a car with auto trans to avoid this.
