Drl light won’t shut off!?

I need help. I installed some drl lights an my 02 maxima. Connected it to battery the positive and negative wires and spliced the 1 extra wire to parking light wire. They turn on when I connect it to battery when my car is off! What’s the problem? Thanks

I don’t know what you mean... I connected the positive and negative wires to battery and the drl lights turn on while my car is off. The 1 extra wire I connected it to parking light positive but still drl light stay on when my car is off. When I turn car on and turn headlights on they the drl turn off..?

Direct connect to the battery you will need a toggle switch. Not sure why you wouldn't just eliminate that and find an ignition hot wire. One example, if you have a cigarette liter that doesn't power on unless the car is on, use that positive lead to the lights. but I'd still put in a toggle switch that way you can turn them off on occasions you want them off.
