Rebuilding CV drveshaft halfshaft axle tripod bearing

Anyone ever do this? I'm in process of it now and instantly regretting it as I can't find Japanese parts. Only Russian or Chinese and end up basically with a autzone type reman at that point with Frankensteined parts.

My inner 3 ball needle bearing tripod basically looks worn and pitted with uneven amounts of play between each. Not huge holes in my housing assembly it seated in but there's little scores.
I dove down here after battling with the shakes and rumbles which I tracked to inner tie rod, frame bushings and another moog control arm bushing premature wear due to slow leaking from power steering fluid and brake fluid from clutch master cylinder leaking up near the neck. Lol such Bs.

No

not sure what you are asking but if you only need the inner and outer boots and want to keep your original oem axles, you can get nissan boots. They are a bit pricey and the pair of boots will cost as much as an aftermarket axles but you will retain your original nissan axles.

Nissan part numbers.......Inner boot part number is.,,C9GDA-55E8H and outer boot part number is......C9BDA-10E8H

I want to replacethe sections Nissan says are not servicable. The boots are discontinued parts according to Nissan online parts, the main one, not the dealerships. Car has a different pn for the axle from 6/2001 until early 2002. Many of the dealers who stock this part are actually using the Chinese Russian Febest boots. I might just have the axle sent to get reman and machined. Differential side or inner c v was worn.

I don't know if they are still around but there was a company called Raxle(?) that built better than OEM CV axles etc. I had an Acura CLS 6spd that had some modifications and the Raxle CVs were the only ones that wouldn't snap in two whenever I did silly things like dropping the clutch at 4k. I'm just mentioning that bc it sounds like you want something better than parts store "quality." Cheers for taking on that job. I'm getting old and I don't even like doing the easy stuff anymore. Unfortunately I'm poor and still have to do my own repairs

I Googled "cv axle rebuilding near me" to find a local company that specializes in rebuilding drivelines for trucks and cars. Here in Phoenix we have http://www.phoenixrackandaxle.com/our-products.php Perhaps there's a similar company in your area that will work with you and provide high quality parts.

Raxle won’t do it anymore but The Driveshaft Shop will.

If you're looking for 500-1200 HP front axle assemblies at a price equal or greater than the value of the car, then The Driveshaft Shop is the place. They don't offer axle conversion parts for Nissan.
