If you are hellbent on using those, and are not persuaded by the first two replies, then please install a cutoff brow, on the top of your lens to minimize glare. I'm sure they are available for 01 Maximas.
I thought this was the reflector ? Both of these are the same ,in mine and the car i got them from?
Is the ballast set up for only low beam? To get BI-xenon I have to get new ballasts?
Those are just glare shields...
Ballasts are low beam only period. What can be bixenon are aftermarket bulb types (H4, 9004/9007) or the projectors themselves (which utilize a solenoid that flips the cutoff shield in the projector down to allow more light through the projector).

So i can keep the ballasts?
What cars have a good projector? Got the Camry ones for free. Because i can get anything.
Would it be easier to use these? My headlight assembly is a stock one now fits pretty good.
the only catch is if you go in keeping the bulbs and ballasts, you have to do a custom one off retro fit, and considering the camary ones you have arent all that worth it, your stuck with getting different ones. if you can get different ones for free like you did with the camary ones then maybe its worth it, to me either keep it simple and get nice halogen bulbs that are clear white 3000k/4000k (Sylvania Silverstar Ultra, or PIAA ) and put them in what you already have stock, and sell off the ballasts that you have. or if you want to make this a project then go for the retro fit !
its definately rewarding once done !
also you can get crap EBAY housings that have a projector in them but they are straight rice garbage.
If you can find them for cheap, I recommend the Phillips crystal vision bulbs. I have them in my 01 forester, and they put out more light than a standard bromine filled halogen bulb. If I were you, I would retrofit an H3 HID bulb kit into the foglight housings instead.
