I love my Maxima
Let's here it from all those Maxima (or I30) lovers out there who are satisfied with their purchases. So much Maxima negativity, I wanted to help bring some positive energy to the orgy.
Personally, the Maxima is the best toy I've had in some time. I'm enjoying driving it, I like the way it looks, and I like taking it apart and putting it back together differently.
I can't wait for my engine mounts to arrive from Cattman.
What a great way to spend < $30K + modifications.

Hehe.. Maxes are great cars. My frustrations all come from my poor choice (auto instead of stick). If I had your car I'd be crying if I had to sell it. I still direct all my family members to buying Maxima's. Price/performance/luxury, they are hard to beat!

hmmm
lets just say, I *love* my maxima. Or I wouldnt be here. I would like to get some love back from Nissan.
Seriously, decent service and protecting our resale alittle and I would have no complaints.

I love my Max too and it's an auto. Yes hail to the Maxima automagic I've got 16,000 miles on it and no problems. This has been the best car i've ever bought since; well I don't know if I should say it. Oh what the hell; it's the best since my 93 Honda Civic Si . Keep coming with these praises to the Max and happy tuning.

I have 57K miles on my 2K Max and I still love it. I have no problems on my autotragic tranny (knock on wood!), it rides great, few paint chips and runs strong everytime I punch it. Best car I've owned so far.

Thank you for this thread. I've been just a little put off with all the negativity. I mean if its that bad, then get rid of it. Life's too short to put up with that kind of agravation. I love my Max. It' cool looking and very fun to drive and has great power. I get favorable comments on it all the time. I love to park in a parking lot and look back at it as I walk away or back to it. I have some rock chips on the hood, but I'm getting front end protection to help take care of that. I have had zero problems with this car so far and warranty will take care of most of any problems that I might have. Also, my dealer has been good, so far, and the parts guy is great. No car is perfect, but for the money, I'll take my Maxima any time. Sorry for the length, but I needed to get that off my chest. Thanks.

I've only got 300 miles on mine so far, but my first impressions are great. One paint chip already, which I touched up and which has now been covered with a clear bra. Can't wait to get another 700 miles on it so I can really open it up.

I agree with everyone else here. The only problem I've had with my Max was due to a dealer ****-up, and it's ran perfect from day one. It was a definite step up from my AV6 and a hell of a lot more fun to mod. Mine turned 1 a couple days ago as I passed the 40k mile mark, and I'm happier with it than I've ever been. Of course, the occasional mod doesn't hurt, but I'd love it just the same without. Well, almost. Looks, class, comfort, and performance (and I even have an auto) are all there, and it didn't cost my poor sailor butt an arm and a leg. Can't beat that.

Thanks for the positive thread. I too love my Max. For the money, I believe it to be the most fun car to drive in its class. I do enjoy the ride. I have encountered more than my share of crappy dealers but so far my dealership (Tim Dahle Nissan) is by far a cut above the rest. I've driven all the competition so I'm pretty confident in saying if Nissan would improve their build quality and dealer service Toyota and Honda would be in trouble.

Re: I love my Maxima
I absolutely love slamming my gears around. Letting 2nd go into 6000RPM then go right to third for a few seconds, then letting the long 4th gear take over.....then realizing that I'm doing 120 and I better slow the &%$% down!!!
My max has made my 30 minute drive to work a heck of a lot more fun(when traffic allows anyway )
