Transmission grounds ???

So there’s this little skinny black wire located directly behind the transmission mount on my 02 Maxima.... i don’t know where this wire connects however it’s attached to the chassis, but I’ve heard it’s a ground to the transmission...I’m unsure if this will cause my car to not crank or turn over but that’s my issue right now. When I go to turn my key I can hear the fuel pump as well as this high pitch ringing sound from near the starter to battery area..... unsure of why. Car tries to turn over when I manually put a screw driver on the solenoid hot and ground. Please help? If that is a transmission ground that broke during driving(car died while driving after a car wash) would it have fried my ecu and coils ? Let me know what y’all think. Columbus OH
