drive by wire issue and fix

just thought i was make a post on my experience with a small issue i had with the drive by wire system.

went to go to work yesterday and the car started up fine and the engine wouldn't accelerate. i checked the pedal and it looked ok but I had codes P0221, P0223, P1227 and P0227. than i noticed a green grommet similar to the ones for the brake and clutch that are black.. come to find out after looking at pics on google that it came from the top of the gas pedal bracket.

i went to nissan for the grommet and they were trying to sell me the entire pedal assembly cause it doesn't list a grommet in the illustration. I went ahead and picked up a brake switch grommet which is $14 now. after putting in the grommet car is fine. i guess the ECU looks for the voltage to be at a certain range when the engine starts..
