I have a 02 maxima 3 months ago I was otw home an everytime I would stop at a light it would cut off I would have to keep revving the engine so it wouldn't cut off but it ended up cutting off again an wouldn't start again... the battery was to weak .... the next day I got a jump an it was running like **** ... I pulled the plugs an 4 out of 6 had oil on them... so I bought 2 new valve covers new coil packs an plugs I replaced everything an now the car turns over but wont start unless I use starting fluid but it only runs for second or 2 .. I'm getting fuel to the rails an all ... I noticed if I unplug my tps the car starts right up an runs for 5 or 6 seconds an dies ... I have no clue what's going on... btw a ob2 scanner wont scan my ecu idk y buts it's been like that for yrs

Why would there be oil in the plugs? Did someone put too much oil in the engine? This would cause the engine to stall because your plugs are getting soaked in oil. That sucks your code reader won't work. It's like trying to fix things but your blind.

what brand coils did you use? The cheapest ones are junk and are known to cause big issues. Hitachi is the only coil brand to trust.

OK, if you indeed changed your coils as described, then check your MAF, Cam/Crank sensors, or possibly Injectors stuck flooding.
Good luck!

This is what happens when someone doesn't read the entire thread.

I bought all the sensors from autozone.... both cam sensors, crank sensor an maf .... everytime I try an check the codes it says it wont connect I've tried alot of scanners an they have said the same .... it hasn't read codes in awhile but the car ran fine up until now smh I changed the knock senser since I had to take the manifold off ... yall think that might of been bad ? I'm running out of ideas lol I'm thinkin its maybe the tps cause I found my son playing with when I had it off the car but idk

cps sensors wont last from autozone, you can't eliminate the possibility of CPS issues unless you use OEM, i have been through it, all problems went away after OEM CPS sensors. im not saying thats the end all, but if you dont have codes its hard to keep saying what it could be. why dont u get the free code scan at autozone when you return your CPS sensors?

and thinking more , honestly the beggining of your problems sounded exactly like CPS symptoms and note they dont always throw codes !! i didnt have any codes when it started happeneing , and even with the crappy aftermarket ones started going bad in less than 12 months when symptoms started reoccurring still no codes, replaced with OEM, haven't had one lick of problems.

mine started the stalling while coasting every once in a blue moon, then progressively more often, till i could barely crank it over to drive 1 mile to the mechanic to change them.
