The war on rust
I barely have 120k miles on my SE and want to keep the car in great condition seeing many of you having 5th gen with over 250k miles. The only rust on my car is the rear wheel wells and entire pinch welds on both sides. Can anyone offer a solution that works to inhibit the rust an restore cosmetically?
Im thinking ill sand off all the current rust ,seal it with rust converter, body filler over it, sand it, repaint it then place a rubber guard of some sort over the finished product? I welcome all recommendations

If you like a car, dont drive it in the winter.
also get a rusty jones type service.
I apply cavity wax plus in my unibody. I have a thread below "picked up a i30 gonna fix it up"
In that thread ,i will be showing how it's done.
If you check my other thread ,farther down . It shows me using cavity wax plus.
This stuff works for the inside but not the underneath. Still have to get it coated,.

This company is actually based out of my hometown, so I decided to give them a shot. The owner used to be partners with POR15 and he split to make a better (and cheaper). I am currently using this stuff to restore my I35, and if you follow the directions it is AMAZING. I would take down the problem areas to bare metal on the pinch welds, then apply this stuff. As far as the quarter panels. You will pay a pretty penny to have them fixed, but you'll pay even more to have them fixed the right way.
