6th gen brake swap question

I have a 2002 maxima with gle wheels. I have two questions: What stainless steel brake lines should I get (5th or 6th gen), and will they clear gle wheels? Will the stock 5th gen brake lines fit the 6th gen caliper? Should I replace the lines for pedal feel? Ive read all the posts but couldnt find that info. Also does anyone still make subframe collars or should I diy it?

What a coincidence...

I just went down that road and determined that we are on our own for collars. This is the approach I'm taking-

Here is the info you need for subframe collars complete with parts list:

https://maxima.org/forums/advanced-s...ification.html

Good timing as well, as I just got an email back from Perrin and placed an order for their shims. Email Thomas Powers @ Sales@perrinperformance.com and he will hook you up.

As far as GLE wheels, they are 17's just the same as my 2003 SE wheels and I just finished installing 2009 350Z front brakes with plenty of clearance. Your brake lines will work just fine. Spend a bunch of money for fancy braided stainless only if you like throwing money away. I have a set on order myself.

Thank you so much. What stainless steel lines did you get, 5th or 6th gen? Yes it seems we are on our own as most aftermarket support for our cars left 10+ years ago.

Also will that subframe collar for the 4th gen also work for the 5th gen?

2002 gle wheels fit fine for 6th gen bbk, and stock brake lines work fine ! for 6th gen bbk on a 5.5 gen all you need is 6th gen - calipers, pads, shim kit, rotors - then plug and play from there

Seems red lion racing actually makes subframe collars now, they are just hard to find as they have no website atm and operate from facebook.
