Are you sure it's the vent? It might be something like a leaf in your blower motor. (fan) Passenger side, right under the glove box. Go take a really close listen again.

I have a similar problem!!!

I have a 2K GLE with the automatic climate control and I have a similar noise. When system is on and the fan is set to 1 or 2, there is a flapping noise from the right side under the glove box. When the fan is on 3 or 4, the noise is still there but fan is so loud it drowns it out.

What is strange is when I steer to the right, the noise gets quiter. When I drive straight or left, the noise is always present.

Any ideas? Help, this is annoying. Where is the blower motor, so I can inspect it?

Look under the glove box, you'll see it hanging down there. Looks like a motor. Anyway, I think there's a few bolts on the bottom of the motor housing. Take them out and the whole motor and fan assembly should come out. Clean out the leaves, papers, straws (saw that in a post somewhere on here) or what ever managed to get in there and your noise should be all gone.

Ever since I bought my 2K SE there has been a rattle in the right vent. It doesn't happen in the summer (warm weather) or with the heat on. Lately it seems to have gone away, but who knows.
I just ignore it figuring the dealer will cause more damage than good if I take it in.

the same thing started happening to my car yesterday. It really sounds like a leaf is in the blower.

There is a TSB for a ticking noise from fan in the HVAC system. I had this completed but still hear a humming/ticking noise. It generally is audible from the right vents. I think the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) sticky has it listed. Hopefully this helps you guys out some.

I had the same noise a while back.

Simply turned the fan up to 4 for a couple seconds and it was gone.
