?: 17" Wheel Weight w/out Tires

I have been reading every thread I can come up with regarding wheel weight, stock wheels, etc., etc. Did anybody ever weigh the stock 17" SE/GLE wheels and figure out what they weigh. I've found numerous threads with weights with tires, but that doesn't help me when comparing them to other wheels.

Anybody, anybody, anybody? I'm gonna guess that they are a good deal heavier than 17lbs.?

~25lbs,

I saw a thread where new tires were 24lbs, total weight mounted was 49 lbs so the wheel weighs 25lbs by subtraction. HEAVY

Yeah, they are 25 lbs. Most 17" wheels I've come across are 19-25 lbs. I am considering SSR Comp's (about 15 lbs.), OZ Supraleggras (16-17 lbs.), or the Kosei Racing K1's (16.5 lbs.).

Kinda makes you want new wheels, doesn't it????!!!! Now if someone would make a great 10 lb. tire!

2k2 GLE's 17" weigh 23.9 LBs each, w/o the stock rubber on them.

damn heavy...I had a post a while ago asking if any of you guys also had weights of OEM 16's for me, noone had an idea. This really helps, because if I ever have the money to upgrade from 15" steel, no way in hell I'll go with those heavy OEM 17's.

How did you get the weight for all these wheels?
I really like the look of the Supraleggras. Anyone have pics of them on their Max?

There are a couple of tables on the net with weights. Do a search w/ "wheel weights". Also some web retailers have some weights listed (not Tirerack).

I really like the look of the Supraleggras as well. I'm gonna get wheels soon, but am having a hard time deciding. I want a good looking, light wheel that's less than $300/ea.
