I had just bought halogen headlight for my maxima se and beacuse they where not HID and I was left hard wiring everything into the car.
after all bilbs where working properly i was left with a r/t or a r/y wire which read as ground on a voltmeter i got that.
now that my headlights are in and working i lost my dash and rear lights.
does anyone have a link for a wire diagram or have had a similar situation?
yes I've checked the fuses and I know the switch and the bulbs are good they worked before I started breaking wires.

That's very confusing. What year is your Maxima? Can you provide pictures of your headlight wiring?
