I pulled out that wire from the a/c compressor...

I was taking out my compressor on a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE and forgot to disconnect the cable that connects to it. Now I have a wire with a weird metal probe at the end, but I don't know what it connects to/ Anyone able to help with this? Thanks!

Is the metal part the end that is supposed to be inside the connector? It might just slide back in.

I hope so. I think it goes to the alternator harness and pulled free of that...

Got it! It came out of the alternator harness, as I thought. AC is working perfectly again! But now I have another issue, which I'll be posting about shortly...
