Replacing Front Struts

In the middle of doing this and I have a question.
Is this really needed?

Simple little half paper half cardboard gasket .
I am this much closer to getting it ready so I can sell it.

yeah the make your own gasket is a great idea

that being said i put 4 quick-struts from monroe (which i now regret) and didnt use any of that stuff, just bolt off bolt on, car drives fine

if you have rattle issues or noise coming from front end, check all rubber bushings & more importantly it could be bad motor mounts

I ended up buying those gaskets and putting them in.
Car drives good with the KYBs for sure.
