CPS harness plug

I changed out my crankshaft sensor plug and now I can not get the wiring harness plug to clip back onto the sensor. What is wrong and what can I do to correct the issue?

Should be straightforward. Have a picture of both ends that you can share?

Can you confirm by looking that both old and new sensors have the same plug shape?

Some plugs look the same but they're not! You need to look at them closely to ensure they mirror each other! Nissan will have a slot that doesn't match but the plugs look similar! post a picture!
