EVAP Code small leak after fuel pump replacement

A small leak SES code was thrown a little after I replaced the fuel pump. The pump still engages and primes when I start the car. Now it just takes a long time for it to start after cranking. It used to start right up. Also, once In a while I smell gas. What could have caused it?

you made two threads about this, and you haven't posted the code you have. evap leaks are usually sensors, or the canister itself.

Probably a loose hose, fuel pump and/or fuel sending unit not seated correctly.

Had a problem-fixed it-still have a problem = you didn't fix it
Didn't have a problem-messed with something-now have a problem = the thing you messed with
