P1800 Code - Broken Wiring Harness 😬

When I was fixing a coil pack misfire at cylinder 5, I had to remove the intake manifold and disconnect the vias control solenoid valve.

The misfire is now fixed. But when I went to reconnect the vias control solenoid valve, I heard the plastic wiring harness snap and the 2 wires popped out of the plug. ☹️ P1800 code was generated. I shoved the wires back into the plastic connector and code P1800 is now gone. It is only a temporary solution because the 2 wires are loose in the plug.

I am looking at getting a new connector for the vias control solenoid valve. It has 2 wires. I can’t seem to find the part anywhere not at rockauto or Amazon. Does anyone know the part # for this connector and where I can buy one?

eBay has a couple of used ones but not sure if they fit. I may have to get one from the stealership. 🤑

Could go to the salvage yard and cut a pigtail then solder it to your harness or just de pin the connector.

I took the actual connector out of my car and compared it to connectors on eBay. I was able to find a perfect fit - used.

Well. eBay connector arrived but it did not fit. I called dealer to see if I can buy it new. The parts department told me to try a Pull-A-Part place.

Wow. I am amazed at how organized these places are. They had 4 Infiniti I35 on their lot. It was kinda fun going there and pulling all the missing parts for my car. I got my connector, vacuum hoses, trunk rubber bumper etc. Highly recommended place to get used car parts - cheap.

I have four LKQ yards here in Tampa. Pulled lots of stuff for my Maxima. I love going to the yard and seeing what kind of goodies I can find.

That reminds me, I need a new center dash vent, guess I'll have to make a trip to the yard Monday!

Yes. I can’t believe that I found a new hobby too going to the junk yard to pull parts for my car! It is an adventure indeed.

Now that my I35 is pushing almost 20 years old, the junk yard may be my last source for parts. My I35 has 175,000 miles. I like to get it to over 200,000 if I can.
