big brake kit saved a few lives today

a few months back i installed the ghetto version of a bbk, 6th gen maxima rotors, pads and calipers on my 2001 i30t (with 2002 maxima se rims, 225 bridgestones, 15mm spacers front, 25mm rear)
today, driving in the rain at night some dumb @ss in a honda fit drove through a red light at a blind intersection, i slammed the brakes (~35mph) and the car stopped literally an inch (thank God) from hitting the honda. Honda left the scene without stopping. Both cars risked being totaled, t-boned at that speed.
Then there's the human element, had my 2yr old in the car seat in the back, unknown in the other car, couldn't see anything in the dark)
before this the car would stop poorly to say the least, I cannot stress how life saving this upgrade has performed today, the car stops way better than stock.
anyone out there with stock hardware (5th, 5.5gen) should definitely move up, i got all my parts in like new condition at a junk yard for less than 200$
stay safe out there.
