Overheating issue 03 maxima please help

Hello this is my first post here

a little backstory: I don’t know too much about cars but I recently been having some overheating issues 03 maxima everytime I would go to work or anywhere I would see a puddle of coolant when I pull off and height temp gauge level

I replaced my radiator thinking that was the issue because there was water/coolant splurging from the top left of it

everything was cool for about two 2 days.. now things are back to the same way again car temp gauge keeps jumping from almost to H I saw a little steam from the hood but that appears to have gone away now maybe my coolant is low again but if I turn on the heat it usually goes down some but still it just keeps going back up again

Any suggestions??

also coolant reservoir tank is still at max it doesn’t seem to pull any fluid from that tank I check all the hoses everything seems to be working properly from what I can see but something is obviously wrong

Did you replace the radiator, or a mechanic.

If you did it, there is a chance that there is an air pocket in the system, in which case you need to burp it out.

If there is a puddle of coolant under your car, you obviously have a leak somewhere. I am assuming that you are using new hoses? Check your hoses and make sure they are clamped tight. Also, did you replace the radiator cap? That is another potential source of leak/steam if it is not sealing properly.

As the above member mentioned, you need to also burp the system to get rid of air pockets. Hopefully, you have done that too.

if it only over heats while sitting in traffic or parked your having radiator fan issues. if it get's hot while driving steady it could be thermostat or water pump.

there used to be a puddle underneath the car but since I replaced the radiator myself the problem gone away but I’m still having heating issues but I’ll try that method and let you know what happens and also why is my radiator not sucking fluid from the coolant reservoir??

After radiator replacement, you must burp the car!
It looks like you didn't.
Search - there are several posts on how to do it properly.

i know with my car, some of the hoses that still had the factory installed spring clamps on them were leaking. over time they get weak and you will start seeing small leaks that will also let air in which can make the engine start to run rich once enough air is in the cooling system.
