Odd idle
Odd idle
After doing the rear valve cover gasket, upper intake gaskets, and the throttle body gasket replacement, I am getting an occasional odd idle condition.
When coming to a stop, the car doesn't want to idle back down to normal. Instead, it wants to stay around 1700-2100 rpms. If I turn off the car and immediately restart, the idle goes back to normal. This doesn't occur at every stop. Random really.

Wonder if replacing the TB gasket somehow messed with the idle and an a re-learn procedure is needed? I had a tough time getting the idle to come back down to spec after a TB cleaning. Ended up doing the fuel injector unplug trick during the re-learn.
What's the re-learn procedure look like for a 2001 Maxima?
I found this for the Idle Relearn Procedure for a 2001 Maxima. https://www.nissanhelp.com/diy/maxim...e_learning.php
Will try it out.
