Hi there, somewhat new to the maxima world, I’ve recently come to a stand still in my build and I’m hoping to get a good answer from somebody very knowledgeable with 5th gens. So I have a 20th anniversary with 99k on it, and it’s an auto w/lsd in it. The trans is slipping like crazy and I’ve got solenoid codes being thrown and it really just needs to go. Anyways I recently acquired a 2000 maxima se with the 5 speed in it and I plan to swap the 5speed into my 20th anniversary. So my actual question is: Is there any way I can use the lsd from the auto and pair it with the 5spd trans? I’ve found no answers and have been searching for weeks. I understand you need the 20th anniversary cv axles (which I have) but is the lsd able to be pulled out of my auto trans and put into the manual? Pls lmk thanks for any answers!

 

from the part numbers I see online the auto and manual have 2 different parts numbers for their viscous LSD. but you never really know if it will fit until you tear them down and compare.. I have a 02 6 speed and just put in a Sentra SE-R Spec V H-LSD and I could imagine how much it would suck going back to an open diff
