Aftermarket radiators

I just purchased a radiator for my 5th gen maxima (NZ maxima, same as i30) but when it arrived today I noticed the core is only 16mm thick (the original radiator core is 26mm) surely this is not acceptable as a replacement?
Does anyone have any experience with these aftermarket radiators? there is no way I'm putting this in my car if it is going to cause overheating. The transmission cooler pipes don't line up either, one will need a longer length of tube to fit, the current radiator in my car only has 70mm between the trans cooler lines.
Any advice would be much appreciated

A quick check on Rockauto shows all are 16mm thick.

I'm running a Denso unit that I got from Rockauto and never had any issues.

16mm thick is a 40% reduction in core volume compared to stock, I can't see how that is a good thing. It probably doesn't equate to a 40% reduction in cooling if the frontal area is the same, but i can't see how it would be the same cooling as the 26mm stock core.

If there was an issue then they wouldn't be available. The rad on my 99 is thinner than other 4th gens. It's stock. It's a non issue.
