2001 maxima. i have read so much about this drop resistor and about my 1st to 2nd hard shift. everbody wants a arm and a leg for this drop resistor. i got on ebay and purchased 2 ceramc resitors. 20 watt @ 12 ohms and 20 watt @ 10 ohms. . i will let u all know when they come in and if it helps my harsh shift into 2nd. i will start with the 12 ohm and then i might try the 10 ohm. 12-15 bucks is alot better than 80- 107 dollars on ebay.

 

Interested to hear how it turns out. My 97 SE auto started to shift hard from 1-2 and threw the code. Changed the dropping resistor with the OEM Nissan part and the tranny was shifting smoothly again until I sold the car at 165K.
