Hey everyone, I'm new here and I have unfortunately reached the point where I need a clutch kit replacement. Does anyone know if I'd be Able to use a clutch kit for a 2001 maxima or any previous years? Looking online clutch kits for my 02 are a lot more expensive than kits for an 01 for example. Christmas just happened so money is tight right now. I've been researching this all night and can't find a definitive answer for my question. What comparisons I've made And things I've read would point in the direction of it being within the realm of possibility to be able to interchange 01/02 clutch kits but I'd very much like other opinions and knowledge.

No, you can't use the older clutch.

 

......5 speed vs 6 speed , definately no....

 

just look on rock auto.

if money is tight reuse your pressure plate if it looks good and just get a new disc and throw out bearing.

on these cars you always change the throw out bearing when you pull the tranny..

I'm running M-Pact clutch for 350Z with National brand throw out bearing.

is your flywheel in good condition?
