P0011 p0430 340 codes at once
Og member here i just got my 03 I35 from the shop 2 days ago. It sat maybe 4 months or so, i would drive it maybe once a month or so because of a massive leak on front valve cover, didnt want to risk blowing the motor or a fire. So the 430 code haa been on a while, i thought it was due to oil dripping on the converter, but leak is fixed now. So went to get car from shop n battery was dead, n drove it a mile 2 autozone and shut it off where battery died again. Jumped it off it drove and ran like a new car and idled very smooth. Now today whenever im parked or stopped, the car acts like it wants to shut off and shakes real bad. While im driving there is no shaking or any signs that the engine wants to shut off, it runs great while driving. So today i get p0011, 430. Ect so i thought it might be the ivt control on the front bank near radiator, i swapped it with a spare i had, and idle was still ruff, so i pulled a coil #2 and it had oil on the boot, so i swapped it. Still idles rough. Only other thing i can think of is spark plug, which they are copper plugs. Problem is only at idle.

Whats the voltage at your battery when its idling? If it's not charging, the ECU can cause funky issues because of lack of power, something is up with the battery dying unless its a plain bad battery. If the oil leak was bad, oil could have leaked onto the alternator and caused it to fail which could have caused everything. When its idling toss a voltmeter on the battery terminals, if its not between 13.3-14.5 area something is up

I guess i should ask which side does the p0011 correspond to bank 1 radiator side or bank 2 firewall side? If i have that correct. Ive replaced and cleaned the ivt solenoid radiator side and code still pops up.

Bank 1 Is the Rear. (Fire wall)
Bank 2 is the Front. (Radiator)
When you had ivt out did you check the Solenoid electronically for operation..? To verify it infact works. You should be able to test this part on and off the car.

Well guys that was indeed the problem!! The ivt solenoid on the rear bank was dirty. I was gonna swap it with a spare that i had, but i realized its the same part but on the rear of the motor the ivt on that side has the plug on a different angle than the ivt on the radiator side, so it would be impossible to use. But that solved my rough idle problem. I removed it and sprayed it with parts cleaner and reinstalled everything. Fired her up and to my surprise, no more shaking and no more than codes so far, and no more rough idle.
